Dilkusha and it’s gardens are also available for weddings. It is a beautiful place for either an intimate ceremony and champage toast, a private post headlands ceremony stop off for appetizers, champagne and light music before a dinner and party in another location or the site for your entire wedding day. Bridal preparations in the house, a small or large ceremony in the garden overlooking the state park and ocean beyond, champagne, full outdoor bar, music, and wedding photos atop the 35ft.Village Watertower. All of this might be followed by a beautifully orchestrated evening in a gorgeously decorated tent to your specifications, a sit down dinner prepared in a portable kitchen brought on site and live music or DJ with dancing into the night.
Special Events of any kind, whether it be a sit down rehearsal dinner for 10 or for 20, a birthday party, bachelorette party, or a theme party, can all be arranged within the doors of Dilkusha. When we remove the furniture from the house we are able to bring up to 150 people inside for the event of your choice. We host the Mendocino Film Festival Filmmakers Party every year, it’s a wonderful event with 3 bars, music and fabulous appetizers. We can do the same for you!
Family reunion outdoor afternoon barbeques with the horseshoe pits in full play, volleyball, bocce ball games and live music going are welcome and a favorite.
Jennifer Taylor’s property was the perfect location for our wedding. We had looked at several locations, but when we saw Dilkusha, we knew we had found the place to celebrate our special day.
The whole weekend was a dream come true for us. It was the best day of our lives!
The groomsmen were able to utilize the beautiful water tower to get ready and relax, while my maids and matrons used the main house before the ceremony. It was just a perfect scenario.
We had our ceremony in front of The Village Watertower with the back drop of the Mendocino Headlands and a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean that was postcard perfect.
After the ceremony, our guests enjoyed cocktails and live music on the huge deck that surrounds the main house, and we took advantage of the numerous beautiful locations around the property to have our wedding pictures taken.
We then joined our guests in the beautifully decorated tent for our dinner, reception, and dancing. It was truly amazing.
We have been married for almost 5 years now and we still think back to our wedding and the reactions of our guest when they saw Jennifer’s property and know it was the best place in the world for our wedding.
About the Tower:
I stayed in The Village Watertower for two nights before getting married on her property. It was perfect! Calm, serene and magical besides being really practical. Then my husband and I stayed there for two nights after the wedding. It was amazing. We loved the multiple floors and the great kitchen. It was very private and the views are outstanding- can't be beat.
The tower was the perfect ending to a wonderful wedding experience at Jennifer Taylor's property.
